Forests:

Apart from the western part of town, Starachowice borders with thick forest complexes and smaller tree-grown areas. The Starachowice Forestry Management manages all of them. They constitute an area of 710 ha, that is 22% of the area of the commune.

Character of region:

The character of the commune is highly municipal and non-agricultural. The arable lands constitute 800 ha (the ploughland - 536ha, meadows and pastures - 200 ha, orchards - 41 ha), which is 25% of the area of the commune.
